How the Club Works
We hold a general member’s meeting at the beginning of each semester where we discuss the trips we are planning for that semester. We do not have regular meetings and you can choose to sign up for any of the trips that you would like to. Just be sure to sign up early as trips can fill up very quickly!
We are a non-profit club dedicated to bringing outdoor experiences to all UofG faculty, staff, and students. Trips range from back-country camping, canoe-tripping, winter-camping, kayaking, and dog-sledding to day trips such as hiking, skiing, canoeing, caving and skydiving. All skill levels are welcome to join any of our trips. We run trips at cost so they are very reasonable.
Being a member of the UofG Outdoors club is great because you can rent our equipment, sign up for our trips and you are the first to hear about our upcoming trips and social events! You can find out more about equipment rentals on our equipment page.
In addition to running trips we also provide our members with information; our library consists of maps, books, information sheets and brochures covering a large variety of outdoor activities. Stop by the office to check out our gear and feel free to use it to plan for your own trips! If your interested in running your own trip and want some help with planning stop by and we’d be happy to help!
All of the membership fees go into maintaining and upgrading our equipment and keeping the club running.
